Research interests:
Literary Theory; literature of the Modern age and ancient textes reception during the Modern age; myth of Eros et Psyche; semiotics of verbal and iconic language; history of books.

Research and professional experiences:

Marilina Gianico is writing her PhD thesis on the 18th century novel. She has studied and researched abroad, in Regensburg, Paris and Aix-en-Provence. From 2006 she collaborates with the Biblioteca “R. Ruffilli” and the Departement of Philosophy of the University of Bologna in the organisation of seminars on “Cinema and Philosophy”. She participated in international conferences and meetings of interdisciplinary interest. She is a member of the AAIS (American Association for Italian Studies) and the RSA (Renaissance Society of America).
