and English at the University of Bologna
and the University of Udine (Italy).
In 2007 he was a postdoctoral fellow
at the Institut de Recherche en Langues
et Littératures Européennes
(ILLE) of the Université de
Haute-Alsace (France), and in 2005
he was a Marco Polo fellow at Brown
University (Providence, RI). As an
undergraduate, he studied abroad at
the Centre for Russian Language and
Culture (St. Petersburg, Russian Federation,
1998) and the University of California
at Berkeley (1999-2000) and in 2001
he was awarded a dissertation scholarship
to research Raymond Carver’s
manuscripts at Indiana University
in Bloomington. He is a regular contributor
of Bibliography of Translation Studies
(TSA/BTS) and has published articles
on translation, American literature,
and cognitive linguistics: "Translating
