Research interests: new media, linguistics, contemporary literature, computer and new technologies applications to linguistics and literature studies

Research and professional accomplishments: Ana Pano was a Marco Polo fellow at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, MI) in 2004, Department of LSA. She took part in the following conferences: AISPI Annual Conference (Palermo, 2005: “Pragmática y gramáticas en Italia y en España” and Padova, 2007: “
Funciones metalingüísticas y dobles lecturas del código”), mit4 the working of stories (MIT, Cambridge, MA, 2005: “Dual effects in digital texts”), and Rupture et tradition dans la création artistique (Dijon, 2004: “Les Caprichos de Goya ou l’équilibre précaire entre rationnel et irrationnel”). She has edited a book (L’Hystérie de la ‘Belgité’, Bologna, CLUEB, 2003) and is preparing a monographic study on language and new media ("Dialogar en la Red", Peter Lang, 2008). She teaches Spanish Linguistics at the University of Bologna. Membership: MLA, AISPI, Ceslic.
